The Search And Rescue Dog Association Ireland North (SARDA IN) was founded in 1978. We train and deploy qualified Search and Rescue (SAR) Dogs in Northern Ireland, Ireland, UK and Internationally in numerous SAR disciplines.

We are a registered charity NIC No : 101234 and take pride in being the only SAR Dog Team on the Northern Ireland Search and Rescue (NISAR) register which falls under the overall direction of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Our SAR Dog Teams are a registered member of the International Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO) – an International response team for overseas disasters. SARDA IN Dogs are tasked and deployed by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS), Mountain Rescue Teams across Ireland/UK and the Gardai to incidents.

We are available for tasking 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Our dogs are trained in several specialist disciplines to locate high risk/ vulnerable missing persons in the mountains, open country/forests, urban search and rescue (USAR) and watercourses, both at home and abroad.
